Before

Operators did a lot of paperwork during shifts. At the beginning of the shift they filled out production line data, products data and a production plan. During the shift they collected equipment’s data, products data and line stoppings if occurred. At the end of the shift factual output data was filled. All of the papers were given to a shift manager for output report making.

Shift managers checked all of the paper data and put it into excel-reports where effectiveness of the shift was calculated.

Therefore, it caused following difficulties:

  • A lot of paperwork.
  • Production lines current state data could be filled at inappropriate time.
  • All the photo materials, made during the shift, were stored and sent in messengers that could lead to their loss.
  • It was impossible to check the correctness of reports.

After implementation production operators can easily fill all the data on the shift in the mobile app without any paperwork:

  • Number of mistakes is decreased as the system controls input data quality.
  • Opportunity to add images right in the app which prevents their loss.
  • Internal chat between shifts, allowing faster data sharing.
  • Shifts manager can control reports quality online through mobile device.
  • Shift manager report generation process has become 50% faster. There is no need for shift managers to aggregate operators' data. They only check it and add additional information if needed.
